National Defence Academy

NDA 2 2022 notification has been released on May 18, 2022 in PDF format on the website – https://www.upsc.gov.in/. The notification PDF has details including eligibility criteria, exam date, how to apply, and others. NDA 2 2022 application process has been started on May 18, 2022. The last date to apply is June 07, 2022. For NDA 2 exam 2022, 400 vacancies have been announced. Out of 400 vacancies, 19 vacancies are for women candidates.

UPSC has released the tentative UPSC exam calendar 2023. The notification for NDA NA-1 2023 examinations will release on December 21, 2022. The last date to apply is January 10, 2023. NDA 2023 will be held on April 16, 2023 candidates will be able to see the detailed schedule from the UPSC website.

National Defence Academy

Defence Academy is also known as the tri-service command which trains cadets for joining the three services that is the Indian Army the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force. National defence Academy set up in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra it it also holds the distinction for being the first tri- service academy in the world. Every six months cadets for Army Navy and air force along with 20 credits of foreign friendly countries are China together and pass out together .

The campus of India spans over 7015 acres it was donated by the former government of Bombay State. The administrative headquarters of Nda is been named as the Sudan block in honour of the sacrifices of the martyred Indian soldiers during the East Africa campaign in Sudan

What is the NDA Exam?

The NDA exam is a national level defence entrance exam conducted by the UPSC. It stands for National Defence Academy. The exam is conducted for the recruitment of individuals in the Army, Navy and Air Force Wings of NDA.

The NDA Exam is conducted twice a year. The exam is conducted in two stages, stage one is the written exam and stage two is the interview. The written exam is conducted in two meetings, one for GAT and the other for Mathematics. The training period after the selection is 3 years. First, the candidate has to clear the written exam, then they are called for an SSB interview, those who clear the interview have to go through a thorough medical check-up based on the standards set by the board. Finally, a merit list is released with the names of the recommended candidates. Marks of all the stages are added up, only those who clear get recommended and called for training.
